Small Business And Home Business Ideas For Introverts
An introvert, by nature is shy, not inclined to socialize, not keen to talk freely and is happy to be confined more with his own thoughts and feelings.
The very definition of an introvert excludes several job categories for the person — sales, marketing, personnel and administration, any human-resource-intensive management etc. An introvert is more likely to be a patient, creative and meticulous person and whatever business line he/ she chooses must be such that it nurtures and resonates with his/her personality and does not end up in conflicting it.
The introvert, based on his/ her knowledge, skill, educational qualification and expertise can choose his/ her business line under two major groups – the Creative and the Knowledge-based.
A) Creative business lines
In these lines, a formal educational qualification may not be strictly needed; innate skills added with some past experience would suffice to start business on these lines:
(1) Arts, painting, graphic designs, sculpturing, computerized graphic arts, design of logos, design of film sets (art direction) etc.
(2) Landscaping, interior decoration, furniture design, fashion design etc
(3) Creative writing, story/novel writing, script writing, ghost-writing, copy writing, preparation of brochures/ leaflets, freelance writing, web-content writing.
(4) Cooking, manufacture of packaged food, preserved food, snacks etc
(5) Photography, cinematography, film/ video making, sound recording, video editing etc.
(B) Knowledge-based business lines
Where the person has appropriate education and experience in respective lines, he/ she can think of
(1) Software development, website development etc
(2) Computer-Aided Design, CAD drafting, preparation of building plans (architecture), Technical writing (preparation of software manuals etc)
(3) Computer (or any other) hardware repair and maintenance
(4) Writing of research based articles, preparation of project reports
Take Care!
Any business involves production and marketing. While an introvert can be good at production, he can’t neglect marketing because unless he sells and brings in money, there is no survival. If the business services are Internet based, then marketing is not a big problem, as long as written communications are good and efficient. But where the business is not web-based, the business should not end up without customers just because he/ she is shy to meet people, talk and sell. Hence it is imperative that the introvert compensates his weak area by employing somebody – an extrovert to take care of marketing.
Where good chemistries are possible, a partnership involving an introvert to produce goods and an extrovert to do the marketing can really produce wonders.

Amazon Cloud Drive is just a front end for Amazon S3. I’ve been using S3 for a long time. It’s true that S3 doesn’t understand folders, but it’s easy to simulate them and preserve the organization of your data. I use s3sync to do it. No dealbreaker.
